Shelter Support: Supplies & Donations

Many shelters in Chicago and Minnesota are overwhelmed, underfunded, and struggling to meet the basic needs of the dogs in their care. Blankets, food, treats, and toys are often in short supply, leaving these loyal and loving dogs without comfort or adequate nutrition. The Brave Breed Project is committed to filling these gaps, ensuring that every bully breed has the essentials they need while awaiting foster or forever homes.

Our Vision

We envision a network of supporters and donors who help provide consistent, high-quality supplies to shelters caring for bully breeds. By mobilizing resources, we aim to relieve shelters’ financial strain, improve the wellbeing of dogs, and empower shelters to focus on rescue, rehabilitation, and placement.

Our Goals & Vision for Shelter Support

  • Supply Essential Needs: Provide blankets, food, treats, toys, and other basic necessities to shelters in Chicago and Minnesota.

  • Sustainability: Create ongoing donation programs that ensure shelters have a reliable flow of supplies year-round.

  • Community Engagement: Encourage local individuals, businesses, and organizations to participate in supply drives and donor programs.

  • Transparency: Show donors exactly how their contributions are helping, from delivery of supplies to the happy dogs benefiting from them.

  • Partnerships with Shelters: Work directly with shelters to identify urgent needs and prioritize resources where they can make the greatest impact.

  • Raise Awareness: Educate the public about the challenges bully breeds face in underfunded shelters and inspire action to help.

With your support, we can provide comfort, nutrition, and care to dogs who are often overlooked — giving them hope, health, and a better chance at life.
